On Tuesday, June 12, Columbia County Sheriff Mark Hunter recognized a local gentleman for his tremendous support to the Florida Sheriffs Association.
In a ceremony at the Sheriff’s Office, Mr. Sidney Strickland Jr. of Lake City was presented with the Distinguished Service Award by Sheriff Hunter. He was recognized for 40 years of contributing to the advancement of law enforcement by supporting the Florida Sheriff’s Association (FSA).
All of us at the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Mr. Strickland for his dedication and continued support of the law enforcement community and in particular, the Florida Sheriff’s Association.
“Florida Sheriffs are on the front line of protecting the citizens of Florida and the FSA is instrumental in assisting in that mission.” Sheriff Mark Hunter stated, “Citizens like Mr. Strickland are a crucial link in the partnership we have with the community.”
