On Tuesday, April 26 in a ceremony attended by family, friends and Sheriff’s Office personnel, Sheriff Mark Hunter on behalf of the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches presented two CCSO members with the Silver Star Award.
Detention Deputy Dewayne Smith and Captain Katina Dicks were given the awards for their financial support of the Youth Ranches for the past 15 years.
Sheriff Hunter said, “It’s the folks behind the scene, the ones who provide financial assistance and support to the Youth Ranches that enables the Ranch to fulfill its vital mission to our state”.
We would like to congratulate Detention Deputy Smith and Captain Dicks on their awards and thank them for being great role models to the community.
