On Wednesday, November 7, 2012, a local convenience store was robbed at gunpoint. Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to 3828 North US HWY 441 (Chevron) to investigate an armed robbery.
At approximately 6:45 p.m., the suspect entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect was brandishing a small, silver colored handgun. After receiving an undetermined amount of money from the register, the suspect fled the store. The suspect was observed by witnesses entering the passenger side of a waiting car. The car fled the scene, travelling north on U.S. 441.
The suspect is described as:
White male, late teens to early 20’s
Approximately 5’09” to 6’00” in height
Wearing a black and white plaid hoodie over a white t-shirt
Saggy blue jeans, exposing his black underwear

The suspect is to be considered armed. Citizens are asked to not approach the suspect and to instead call 911.
