On Saturday, June 23, 2012, a Columbia County man was arrested on multiple charges after an altercation with family members.
At approximately 5:45 am, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a residence off S.W. Santos Terrace in reference to an injured person. Deputies made contact with Christopher Gene Graham. Mr. Graham told Deputies that he was attacked by two unknown assailants. Mr. Graham had an injury to his head and was bleeding. Lifeguard Ambulance Services transported Mr. Graham to a local medical facility for treatment.
CCSO deputies launched an immediate investigation into Mr. Graham’s complaint that he was attacked by two unknown assailants. Deputies were able to determine that Mr. Graham was not attacked by two unknown assailants as he previously stated. Mr. Graham was allegedly intoxicated and confronted one his sons in the front yard of the home. Mr. Graham attempted to strike his adult son with a lawn chair. Mr. Graham produced a pocket knife and then attempted to stab his son. The son was able to get away from his father. Seeing the commotion, Mr. Graham’s other adult son attempted to get in between his father and brother. Mr. Graham attacked the second son with the knife and slashed him across the forehead, cheek and chest. Both sons were able to pin Mr. Graham on the ground outside of the home. Both Mr. Graham’s sons refused medical treatment.
Deputies made contact again with Mr. Graham at the hospital and he was arrested without incident after receiving medical treatment. Graham was transported to and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility.
