Kellen Woolf
Another juvenile has been arrested for illegally possessing a firearm. Kellen Woolf (14) of Fort White, was taken into custody by school resource deputies yesterday after a video spawned an investigation.
The investigation began when Deputy Kimberly Ray received a tip about a video depicting Woolf smoking marijuana and handling a firearm was discovered. Deputy Ray and Corporal Matthew Baucom, who are assigned to the School Resource Unit, immediately began looking into the information. Woolf was seen on the campus of Fort White Middle School prior to the start of school and was escorted to the school resource office for further investigation. Woolf did not have a gun in his possession while on campus, but led deputies to the location of the one he posted in the video, which was at his residence. The gun was located by deputies and it was discovered to have been stolen from another county.
“I cannot stress enough how serious we are about this issue,” said Sheriff Mark Hunter. “The safety of our children and community is paramount, and we will not tolerate anyone who jeopardizes that. We are continuing to aggressively hold those accountable who put others at risk, no matter their age.”
Woolf was charged with Grand Theft of a Firearm, Dealing in Stolen Property, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Further details are unavailable as parts of the investigation remain active.
