On Thursday June 30, 2022 a retirement ceremony was held for Sergeant Troy Green. Sgt. Green retired after 29 years of service with the CCSO. He began his career in 1993, holding several supervisory positions at the Columbia County Detention Facility along the way. He most recently served as the Administrative Sergeant at the detention facility.
In a statement, Sheriff Hunter said, “We are going to miss Sgt. Green and appreciate his many years of dedication to this agency and our community. We wish him a comfortable and happy retirement.”
