We are pleased to announce that the investigation into a child abduction has come to a safe conclusion. Investigation led to the safe recovery of Lucy and Jaxon Evans at a motel in Suwannee County, Florida.
An AMBER Alert was issued on Wednesday evening after the children were abducted by their biological parents, David Evans and Sydni Jones. Custody of the children had been withdrawn from the biological parents following a court order. Both David and Sydni were apprehended without incident.
“We are very grateful for the outcome of this case,” stated Sheriff Mark Hunter. “I would like to commend our team of detectives, along with the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office, FDLE, federal law enforcement partners, and local community for helping to bring this case to a quick and safe conclusion.”
