On Thursday, September 12, a local business donated a grill to the CCSO’s School Resource Unit for use at community functions.
At our local Lowes, during their contractor appreciation luncheon, Sheriff Mark Hunter accepted the grill from Ryan Shoemaker, the owner of Specialty Wood Crafters.
The grill will be used at our summer camps, our community events “Summer Nights”, and any other events the School Resource deputies have for the students.
All of us at the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Mr. Shoemaker and Lowes for their support and for the impact they have on the youth of our community.
“Business and community partners are an integral part of the programs we provide to the students and community.” Sheriff Mark Hunter stated, “Without such support we would be unable to accomplish the magnitude of activities we do for the youth, without a burden to the taxpayers. We do not take this for granted and continue to work with our business and community partners to make Columbia a great place to live and raise a family.”
