On Monday, December 11 in a ceremony attended by family, friends and Sheriff’s Office personnel, Sheriff Mark Hunter promoted Corporal Martin Lee to the rank of Sergeant.
Sergeant Lee has been with CCSO since 2011 and will remain in the Criminal Investigations Division as the agency’s Internal Affairs Inspector.
Following the promotion, Sheriff Hunter recognized two other CCSO members for awards.
Deputy Aaron Belfry was given the Lifesaving Medal for his actions on November 3, 2017 when he gave CPR to a victim, ultimately saving their life.
Sergeant Pete Spurlock was awarded the Commendation Medal for his actions on October 31, 2017 when his swift and decisive actions ended a carjacking and hostage situation.
We would like to congratulate Sergeant Lee on his promotion and Deputy Belfry and Sergeant Spurlock on their awards. All have brought credit on themselves and the CCSO family.
