On Thursday, October 26, Columbia County Sheriff Mark Hunter recognized a local couple for their tremendous support to the Florida Sheriffs Association.
In a ceremony at the Sheriff’s Office, George and Carol Richardson of Wellborn were presented with the Distinguished Service Award by Sheriff Hunter. They were recognized for their 50 years of contributing to the advancement of law enforcement by supporting the Florida Sheriff’s Association (FSA).
All of us at the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Richardson’s for their dedication and continued support of the law enforcement community and in particular, the Florida Sheriff’s Association.
“Florida Sheriffs are on the front line of protecting the citizens of Florida and the FSA is key in assisting in this mission.” Sheriff Mark Hunter stated, “Citizens such as the Richardson’s represent a crucial partnership with us and we could not do this without them.”
