On Friday, January 16 in a ceremony attended by family, friends and Sheriff’s Office personnel, Sheriff Mark Hunter promoted Corporal J.T. Williams to the rank of Sergeant and Deputy Sheriff Murray Smith to the rank of Corporal.
Sergeant Williams, who has been with CCSO since 2001, is assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division and will remain in that division in his current assignment as the Internal Affairs Inspector. Corporal Smith, who joined CCSO in 2013 is assigned to the Administrative Division and will remain in that division in his current assignment as the agency’s Public Information Officer.
We would like to congratulate Sergeant J.T. Williams and Corporal Murray Smith on their promotions and wish them the best as they continue their careers.
