On Tuesday, May 20, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff Mark Hunter received an award for the fiscal year 2012- 2013 for its advances in “Fleet Safety and Loss Control.”
Sheriff Hunter accepted the award from Dick Hunt of the Florida Sheriffs Risk Management Fund for the agency’s continued improvement in the area of vehicle safety. Dick Hunt stated that the award is given in recognition of the Sheriff’s Office’s excellent fleet maintenance, agency training and vigilant vehicle operators.
