On Tuesday, January 7th, 2014, at 2:25 p.m., detectives from the Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force were conducting an investigation at 1207 NW Ashley Street in Lake City, when they discovered a methamphetamine lab. Due to the dangers associated with such labs, Lake City Fire Department and Lifeguard ambulance personnel provided over watch as Task Force detectives dismantled and removed the hazardous lab material from a shed located in the rear of the property.
Two arrests were made on scene with others pending as the investigation continues.
Arrested were: Ashley Nicole Tanner, W/F, DOB 02031990 and Nicholas Hampton Cason, W.M, DOB 06091981 on Charges Manufacture of Methamphetamine.
The Drug Task force is comprised of law enforcement personnel from Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Lake City Police Department.
