Murder Suspect Captured
On Thursday, August 29, 2013, Ernest Larry Grandison was arrested by the Louisiana Jefferson Parrish Sheriff’s Office and United States Marshal Service Fugitive apprehension team.
On April 27, 2012, Ernest Grandison robbed the A&M Discount Beverage located at 394 East Duval Street, Lake City. During the robbery, Grandison fatally shot Rajnikant Patel.
On August 15, 2013, An Investigator from the State’s Attorney’s Office contacted a Detective with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office in reference to information on the possible whereabouts of Larry Grandison. The Detective who is also a sworn Task Force Officer for the US Marshal Service, developed crucial intelligence that was utilized by the US Marshal Service and led to the capture of Grandison this morning as he came out of a residence in Louisiana.
