On Thursday, December 20, 2012, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a search warrant at 1069 S.W. Faulkner Drive, Ft. White, FL. Detectives with the Multi Jurisdictional Task Force obtained the search warrant after a lengthy narcotics investigation.
At approximately 1:00 pm, Deputies found the two suspects actively processing clandestine methamphetamine when the warrant was served. Detectives with the MJTF discovered materials and chemicals consistent with the illegal manufacture of methamphetamine. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility.
The hazardous materials at the search warrant site were collected and will be disposed of at an appropriate hazmat collection facility. Evidence seized from the search warrant will be sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement crime lab for evaluation. Approximately 500 grams of methamphetamine was seized. In addition to the narcotics seizure, a stolen scooter was also seized by deputies.
The Columbia County Multi Jurisdictional Task Force is comprised of detectives from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
