Lake City – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is providing an update on road and bridge closures in Northeast Florida due to Tropical Storm Debby.
Baker and Columbia County
- I-10 east of I-75 (Exit 296) to US 90 (Exit 324) is closed to all eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic is allowed between US 441 (Exit 303) and I-75 but closed from US 441 to US 90 (Exit 324). Eastbound traffic is detoured to I-75 to US 90 and back to I-10 in Baker County in the Sanderson/Olustee area. The westbound lanes between I-75 and US 441 were reopened at 1 p.m. today.
Baker County
- US 90 from I-10 to Nassau County line – partial closures.
- SR 121 at the Georgia line is closed to Georgia bridge closure.
Bradford County
- SR 18 east of Worthington Springs is closed.
Columbia County
- SR 247 north of CR 240.
- US 441 at US 41 split in Lake City (in front of Columbia High School). Traffic is detoured to US 41 north.
- US 41 south of Lake City from US 441 north for about one mile is partially closed.
- US 441 north of Lake City at the Deep Creek Bridge is closed.
- US 441 south of Lake City at the Rose Creek Bridge is partially closed
- US 441 from CR 6 to the Georgia line is closed.
Lafayette County
- SR 51 partial closure south of Mayo (1.5 miles north of Cooks Hammock).
Madison County
- I-10 eastbound east of Madison at mile marker 263 has one lane closed for repairs to a sinkhole along the outside lanes. Tentative reopening is by Friday.
Nassau County
- US 301 at Bryceville about four miles north of Baldwin (US 90) is closed at Brandy Branch Bridge. Bridge washout. Tentative reopening in early July.
Suwannee County
- US 90 in downtown Live Oak.
- US 129 in downtown Live Oak.
- SR 51 north of Hal Adams Bridge is partially closed.
If the road ahead is flooded, turn around and find an alternate route. Flooded roads may hide the fact that the roadway is washed out underneath and as little as six inches of rushing water can force your car off the road.
