On Friday, May 11, 2012, a promotions ceremony was held at the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Operations Center. Three CCSO deputies were promoted in a ceremony attended by friends, family and coworkers.
Lieutenant Joseph Lucas was promoted to the rank of Captain. Captain Lucas is a 20 year veteran of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. Captain Lucas’s most recent assignment was a Lieutenant in the Detective Division. Captain Lucas is now the Commander of the Detective Division.
Sergeant Robert Holloway was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Lieutenant Holloway is a 19 year veteran of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. Lieutenant Holloway most recently supervised the Civil Division. Lieutenant Holloway will be assigned to the Patrol Division as a supervisor.
Sergeant Chrisotpher Sharpe was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Lieutenant Sharpe is a 19 year veteran of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. Lieutenant Sharpe was most recently assigned as the Training Officer for the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. Lieutenant Sharpe will be assigned to the Detective Division.
