On Tuesday, April 10, 2012, Captain Jeff Coleman retired from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office after 25 year of service. In a ceremony held at the Sheriff’s Office, family, friends and coworkers gathered to thank Captain Coleman for his 25 years of service to the citizens of Columbia County. As is custom at the Sheriff’s Office, retiring personell are promoted to the next level of rank. Sheriff Mark Hunter was proud to promote Captain Coleman to the rank of Major. Major Coleman was also presented with his duty firearm.
All of us at the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend our sincerest thanks to Major Coleman and we wish him the best of luck in his retirement.
