On Thursday, November 17, 2011, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Ft. White man for cultivating marijuana.
An anonymous tip led CCSO patrol deputies to 1357 S.W. Wilson Springs Rd., Ft. White, FL. The Multi Jurisdictional Task Force executed a search warrant at the home. Detectives found 142 live marijuana plants being grown in various locations inside the home and in a green house on the property. Additionally, over 100 grams of dried marijuana were found in the home. The estimated street value of the marijuana is in excess of $140,000.00
Detectives arrested the only occupant of the home, Todd Martin Dorsett, without incident. Dorsett was booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility and is being held on $20,000.00 bond.
The Multi Jurisdictional Task Force is comprised of detectives from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Lake City Police Dept, Florida Dept of Law Enforcement and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
