On Sunday, August 1, 2010, the Columbia County Sheriff’s responded to a residence off S.W. Jim Witt Rd. A 911 call at approximately 8:40 p.m., led Deputies to the discovery of two deceased adults in the home.
Columbia County Sheriff’s Detectives and Crime Scene technicians spent several hours at the home processing the scene. The Jacksonville Office of the Medical Examiner will provide specific details later today as to the cause of death. Detectives are actively working this case as a homicide. Detectives believe that the suspect in this homicide is one of the deceased.
