On Monday, July 19, 2010, Columbia County Sheriffs Deputies arrested a man wanted from Baker County on multiple felony charges. At approximately 12:05 a.m., CCSO deputies were called to the McDonalds on U.S. 90 West. A man had called CCSO stating that Ryan Wayne Phillips was with him and wanted to turn himself in.
Deputy Jesse Cieslik, Deputy Brian Blevins and Corporal Tip Tyler made contact with Mr. Phillips as he sat in his truck. Mr. Phillips was taken into custody without incident. LCPD Sgt Keith Heston assisted CCSO units. The Baker County Sheriff’s Office was immediately notified that Mr. Phillips was in custody and was being booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility. Mr. Phillips is being held without bond until he can be transported back to Baker County to face charges.
