On Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at approximately 7:30 pm, an armed robbery occurred at the Super 8 Motel in Columbia County (3954 SW SR 47).
A couple from out of town had checked into the motel and was transferring their luggage from their vehicle to the motel room. The suspect grabbed the male victim from behind and placed a silver revolver to his head. The victim gave the suspect his wallet. The suspect then grabbed the female victim’s purse from inside the room and fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a black male, 6′ tall, and 220-230 pounds. He was wearing a bright yellow shirt and khaki pants or long shorts. The suspect had a black cloth on his head. The suspect was last seen entering a white SUV type vehicle, travelling west on C.R. 242.
There were no injuries reported during this robbery.
