The Columbia County Multi Jurisdictional Task Force arrested two Ft. White residents following an extended undercover investigation into illegal narcotics sales.
Deputies and Task Force agents served a search warrant on February 2, 2010 at 394 S.W. Buffalo Ct, Ft. White, FL. Agents were able to seize over $16,000.00 in U.S. currency and crack cocaine. The suspects attempted to flush cocaine down the toilet when agents arrived but they were able to recover the drugs from the septic line. In total, over 80 grams of cocaine was seized over the duration of this extended investigation.
This successful undercover operation was a joint investigation by the MJTF and the Baker County Sheriff’s Office. The seizure of over 80 grams of cocaine is a significant narcotics seizure. The MJTF continues to play a vital role in the community wide effort to rid Columbia County of illegal narcotics sales. The Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force is comprised of Detectives from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Lake City Police Dept, Florida Dept of Law Enforcement and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
