The Columbia County Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force served a search warrant Monday afternoon after a 5 month undercover investigation. Task Force agents served the warrant at292 Sherrod Ct,Lake City,FLat approximately 3:00 p.m.
The Task Force began an investigation into a group that was allegedly selling prescription narcotics out of the home on Sherrod Ct. Agents determined that the suspect’s were receiving prescriptions from doctors inTampaandGainesville,FLand then selling those pills locally. Agents seized over 200 pills from the home, including oxycontin, hydrocodone and alprazolam.

Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Oxycontin)
Possession of a Controlled Substance (Dolophine)
Bond set at $55,000.00
Doyle McNeal attempted to flee over a barbed wire fence when the Task Force approached. He was quickly apprehended and placed under arrest. Task Force agents do expect to make additional arrests stemming from this lengthy investigation.
The Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force is comprised of Deputy Sheriff’s from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Officers from the Lake City Police Dept and Special Agents from the Florida Dept of Law Enforcement.
