On June 26, 2025, around 11:30am, deputies were dispatched to Arby’s Restaurant located on Highway 90 West for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located two individuals inside the restaurant who had been shot. As deputies rendered aid, witnesses provided information regarding the suspects, including a vehicle description.

Within minutes, a responding deputy located the suspect vehicle near the scene which was occupied by three individuals. The vehicle fled Northbound onto I-75 from U.S.90 West and a pursuit was initiated. The Florida Highway Patrol joined deputies in the pursuit which continued on I-75 Northbound. Upon approaching the area of the 437 mile marker an FHP Trooper conducted a successful P.I.T. Maneuver which brought the pursuit to an end. The three suspects in the vehicle were apprehended without further incident.

One of the victims of the shooting was treated at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other victim was transported to a trauma unit with serious injuries. The identities of the victims are being withheld at this time.

A motive for the shooting is not yet known. Preliminary information is that the suspects in this incident reside out of county and are all adults. Their identities are being withheld pending further confirmation. The investigation is still active and no further information is available at this time.
