On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, Sheriff Hunter held a promotional ceremony for two employees. The ceremony was attended by family, friends, and CCSO personnel. Deputy Matthew Montemurno was promoted to the rank of Corporal. Montemurno has been serving in the Investigations Division as the warrants detective. He will now be assigned to the Patrol Division as a shift supervisor. Corporal James Cason was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Cason had been serving as a shift supervisor within the Patrol Division. He will now be assigned to the Administrative Division as the agency’s accreditation manager.
