On Friday, December 15, 2023, Sheriff Hunter presented awards for employees of the year from various divisions within the sheriff’s office. The awards were presented at the Annual CCSO Christmas Party. Ben Kadel was recognized at the Citizen Service Unit Volunteer of the Year. Kelsey Hotchkiss with the Forensic Team was recognized as the Civilian Employee of the Year. Anson Johnson was recognized as the Detention Deputy of the Year. Kevin Bailey received the Detective of the Year, and Dylan Bines received the Deputy of the Year award. Detective Bailey is not pictured due to the nature of his assignment.
