Detectives have identified the victim of a homicide which was reported on Sunday near Ellisville.
Shortly before 11:30am on September 3, 2023, deputies responded to a field near SW Haltiwanger Road where the victim’s body was discovered. The victim has since been identified as 18-year-old, Coyoete Turner. Next of kin notifications have been completed. Detectives are actively investigating the case as a homicide and are asking for anyone who may have seen Coyoete within the past week to contact us (contact information below). No further details are able to be released at this time.
“Our hearts go out to the victim’s family,” said Sheriff Mark Hunter. “We will continue to work tirelessly until we are able to bring a successful closure to this case.”
