Detectives have arrested three subjects for various offenses which culminated in a shooting incident late this morning. There were no injuries associated with the incident. However, a vehicle was struck multiple times by gunfire.
At approximately 10:20am deputies responded to an apartment complex on SW Pizarro Place for a report of someone discharging multiple rounds from a firearm. Upon arrival, it was learned that a male subject, later identified as Jeffery Clark (32), was suspected of shooting at occupants of a vehicle who were in front of the complex. Clark was inside an apartment when deputies arrived. Upon being ordered outside by deputies, Clark and another female, Tionne Cooper (25), exited the apartment and were detained. A search of the apartment revealed illegal narcotics, but at this time, the firearm used in the incident has not been recovered. Both Clark and Cooper were arrested for narcotics violations. Clark also faces additional charges associated with discharging the firearm.
Prior to the shots being fired, it was learned that Lawrence Green (39), had been causing a disturbance at the location. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
In a statement, Sheriff Mark Hunter said, “We will not tolerate people who endanger our community by resorting to violence and will act quickly to hold them accountable. I am thankful no innocent citizens were harmed during this reckless incident.”
No other details are available at this time as parts of the investigation are still active.
