GENERAL QUESTIONS
Please contact the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Sexual Offender/Predator Unit for any questions that you may have in regards to registration, reregistration or any other Sexual Offender/Predator related question. Please do not come to the Sheriff’s Office lobby for questions that you may have, instead contact us at (386) 758-1095. You may leave a message after normal business hours and we will return your call on the next business day.
NEW REGISTRATION
Any sexual offender or predator who has just moved to Columbia County must call (386) 758-1095 and make an appointment to complete your registration process. Please note that you still must adhere to the 48-hour statutory requirements of registering. Any violations of this requirement will be strictly enforced by this agency. You will not be permitted to enter the building unless you have a scheduled appointment with our SOP Unit.
RE-REGISTRATION
If you are due to re-register for the months of March or April 2020, a member from our SOP Unit will be contacting you to make arrangements to complete this process.
DHSMV
Please note that DHSMV (Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles) offices in Columbia County are currently closed. If you have any questions in regards to updating your Florida Driver’s License or ID card, please contact the SOP Unit at (386) 758-1095 to discuss further arrangements in order for you to adhere to the statutory requirements.
