On Thursday, September 21, a luncheon was held at the Sheriff’s Operation Center in honor of Ms. Susan Cone.
In the retirement ceremony at the beginning of the luncheon, Sheriff Mark Hunter shared with gathered well-wishers that Ms. Susan has been a dedicated and valued member of the Sheriff’s Office for 30 years. Her position as Office Manager for the District 2 office in Fort White enabled her to be the face of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office to the south county citizens.
Sheriff Hunter said “Her smile and kindness has touched many lives and she will be missed. We wish her the very best in this new chapter of her life.”
