On Friday, July 31, the Columbia County Detention Facility was host to a luncheon in honor of one of their retiring members.
Ms. Sharon Parker, the administrative secretary for the Detention Division of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, retired with more than 28 years of service. Ms. Sharon has played a vital role in the operation of the detention facility and leaves behind a legacy of professionalism and compassion.
Sheriff Hunter praised her before a packed group of well wishers for her dedication and expressed his personal gratitude for a job well done. We wish her the very best in her retirement and the next chapter of her life.
