On Wednesday, January 14, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office video visitation at the detention facility became fully operational again.
The video visitation had been down since early December when the prior service provider, EdgeAccess went bankrupt and would no longer be able to maintain the service to the detention facility. Immediately the Sheriff’s Office searched for a new provider and contracted with Securus Technologies.
All visits need to be scheduled in advance. Detention personnel are available to assist visitors at the facility and there is a kiosk at the detention facility to accomplish this or you can schedule a visit on line at www.securustech.net.
