On Tuesday, January 13, Sheriff Mark Hunter on behalf of the Florida Sheriffs Association presented State Senator Charles “Charlie” Dean with the FSA Legislative Champion Award.
Sheriff Hunter commented that Senator Dean is steadfast in his support for the Florida sheriffs’ issues; notably this session for his leadership in standing with the sheriffs on issues before the Criminal Justice Committee. Unparalleled access to Senator Dean and his staff allows the sheriffs to carry their issues through to the finish line. His understanding of the Office of the Sheriff gives Senator Dean unique insight into the FSA’s legislative platform and is unrivaled. His commitment to the safety of our state is unwavering and much appreciated by the sheriffs and our other law enforcement partners.
