On Thursday, November 6, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested two violent felons after a brief standoff.
Deputies received a tip from a citizen that a warranted male, Tyrece Roundtree 25, was just seen at 140 SW Jupiter Glen in the unincorporated area of the county. Deputies arrived and saw Roundtree on the porch with a female, Jamie Bartosek 25. The deputies attempted to detain the two, but Roundtree ran inside the home. Bartosek, who complied, told the deputies Roundtree was armed with a pistol.
Since it was believed that there were children and at least one other adult in the home, a perimeter was set and SWAT and negotiators were called out.
Prior to the arrival of SWAT, Roundtree came out and surrendered without incident. During the investigation, it was learned that Bartosek and Roundtree had several violent felony warrants out of Columbia County and they were arrested and transported to the Columbia County Detention Facility where they were booked.
Tyrece Roundtree’s warrants were for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon $250,000 bond, possession of a firearm by convicted felon $50,000 bond, armed robbery $250,000 bond, armed carjacking $250,000 bond and grand theft $100,000.
Jaime Bartosek’s warrants were for armed robbery $250,000 bond, armed carjacking $250,000 bond and grand theft $100,000 bond.
The warrants stemmed from the same incident which occurred on October 6 on NW Suwannee Valley Road. Roundtree and Bartosek are suspected of robbing a subject at gunpoint and of forcing the victim to drive them to Cedar Park Apartments.
The investigation continues.
