On Friday, January 3rd, 2014, at 6:00 p.m., Columbia County Sheriff’s Office detectives made arrests resulting from a month long investigation of two armed robberies.
The robberies occurred on December 9th, 2013, to the Subway Sandwich Shop located at 1686 SE Baya Drive and the S & S convenience store at 3544 SE Country Club Road. These events occurred within minutes of each other and the victims gave similar descriptions of the suspects. Later in December, an informant came forward and provided the detectives with information which assisted them in identifying the suspects. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility.
