On September 5, 2013, members of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and Lake City Police Department showed their support in the annual Eastside Elementary Safety Patrol Pinning Ceremony. During the ceremony, Capt. Wingate of the Sheriff’s Office and Chief Gilmore of the Lake City Police Department took turns pinning the newly appointed Safety Patrol Member with their respective badges. After the pinning ceremony, students and parents were taken to the school flag pole where they were shown the proper raising and lowering of the nations and state colors by sheriff’s office members. We would like to congratulate all the newly appointed Safety Patrol member.
