On Wednesday, June 12, 2012, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Louisiana man on drug charges.
Corporal Rick Damon and Deputy Calvin Lee contacted the suspect, Peter Guarisco, in the parking lot of Wal-Mart. Guarisco was sitting in his 2004 Cadillac. Deputies discovered that Mr. Guarisco did not have a valid driver license from any state and only possessed an identification card from Louisiana.
As deputies continued their investigation, an open container of alcohol was seen in the car along with a device commonly used to smoke methamphetamine. Subsequent to the arrest of Mr. Guarisco, deputies further discovered approximately 8 grams of methamphetamine and prescription narcotics. The prescription narcotics were not prescribed to Mr. Guarisco. Deputies found over $3,000.00 in U.S. currency in the possession of Mr. Guarisco.
Mr. Guarisco was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility on multiple charges.

Charges: Operating a Vehicle without a Driver License, Possession of Controlled Substance without a Prescription, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Arrested by Warrant (Nevada County, Arkansas – Possession of Cocaine/Methamphetamine).
