On April 27, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will conduct its sixth “Prescription Drug Take Back Initiative,” a one-day collaborative effort with state and local law enforcement.
The initiative will provide an opportunity for the people of Columbia County to voluntarily surrender expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutically controlled substances and other medications to law enforcement for destruction.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office will participate by having a site at the Park-n-Ride lot across from Arby’s, at the intersection of U.S. 90 and Commerce Blvd., from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
We will NOT accept syringes or other sharp objects. This program is completely anonymous and no personal will be asked of you.
