On Wednesday, April 10, 2013, four new members joined the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. In a ceremony attended by friends, family and coworkers, Sheriff Mark Hunter swore in all four members, making them official members of the Sheriff’s Office.
Mr. Patrick Ross was sworn-in as a Deputy Sheriff.
Ms. Marcella Miller was sworn-in as a Deputy Sheriff.
Both Deputy Sheriff Ross and Deputy Sheriff Miller will be assigned to the Patrol Division and undergo a rigorous training program.
Mr. Wayne Sapp Sr., and Mr. Jason Massey were sworn in as members of the Citizens Service Unit. Mr. Sapp and Mr. Massey will volunteeer their time at the Sheriff’s Office, providing a great asset to our community.
We would like to welcome our new members and we wish them the best of luck in their new endeavours.
