On Monday, February 11, 2013, three people were arrested by Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies for possessing narcotics paraphernalia.
At approximately 9:50 pm on Feb 11, Deputy Sheriff Shayne Foote conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a license plate violation. The traffic stop was conducted at a gas station at Interstate 75 and S.R. 47. Deputy Foote and Deputy Joshua Latimer observed items in the vehicle that were consistent with the manufacture of methamphetamine. In addition to the paraphernalia, over 100 pseudoephedrine tablets were discovered. Pseudoehphrine is a primary ingredient used to manufacture methamphetamine.
The three occupants of the vehicle were arrested without incident and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility. One of the suspects, Donnie Walker, was released from prison in January after serving a sentence for possessing a trafficking amount of methamphetamine.
