On Tuesday, January 22, 2013, two men were arrested after committing a burglary in Ft. White, FL.
At approximately 4:00 pm, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a residence off SW Weasel Ct. The homeowner reported that a burglary to her shed was in progress. The victim’s security company was able to provide deputies with a description of the two suspects and the vehicle they were using.
The suspects’ vehicle, a black SUV, was at the scene when deputies arrived. The two suspects had fled the area on foot. CCSO deputies immediately established a perimeter of the area and began searching for the suspects. Deputy Cody McIntyre apprehended one suspect (Jimmy Rowan) when the suspect walked out of the woods. A Columbia County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit assisted in tracking the second suspect. The second suspect was located in the woods near the victim’s home.
Deputies located a large amount of stolen property in the suspects’ vehicle. The stolen property was secured by deputies. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility.
