On Saturday, December 8, 2012, an armed robbery occurred to a local convenience store.
At approximately 7:15 a.m., the suspect entered the Stop and Go Food Store located on SR 47, just south of Interstate 75. The suspect was armed with a handgun. The suspect demanded money from the clerk and fled the store after receiving an undetermined amount of money.
The suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet tall with a thin to medium build. The suspect was wearing dark colored pants, a white t-shirt under a gray hooded sweatshirt and light colored Nike athletic sneakers. The suspect also wore a black ski type mask over his face. The suspect was seen entering the passenger side of a light green mini van. The van was last seen traveling south on State Rd. 47.
