On November 26, 2011, a Columbia County man was arrested for aggravated domestic violence battery. Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence on SW Shuck Glen in response to a 911 call.
When CCSO deputies arrived at that home, they discovered one victim with an apparent head injury. Deputies were able to determine that the victim was the former girlfriend of the suspect. The suspect allegedly became angry over the placement of a chair. The suspect became irate and repeatedly struck the victim about the head with a rock. The suspect then attacked the victim’s sister and attempted to pull her into a smoldering fire pit outside of the home.
Deputies were able to take the suspect into custody after a brief struggle. He was booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility without further incident. The victim with the head injuries was treated by Lifeguard Ambulance Service and transported to a medical facility for further treatment.
