On 02/20/2011 a Robbery occurred in a residential area near the east intersection of Baya Drive and U.S. 90. An elderly female was exiting her vehicle at her home when a stranger approached her. He spoke with her briefly then pulled her purse forcibly from her and fled the area.
The man was described as being a white male around 6’00 tall. He had dark-colored short hair. He was wearing blue pants and a blue shirt. One witness described him as appearing around 30-50 years of age, while another witness thought he appeared to be younger.
At or near the same time of the robbery a red Chevrolet S-10 pick-up was also seen near the home. The truck appears to be a late 90’s to early 2000’s model. It has Chevrolet in back across the back tailgate. There was a silver ladder in the back of the truck. The owner or driver of the truck is being sought for questioning about the incident.
