A Lake City man is recovering after being shot during a home invasion robbery. On Monday, August 2, 2010 at approximately 1:00 A.M., two men forced their way into a home at 479 SW Pine Ridge Ct., Ft. White, FL.
A female resident of the home was on the back porch when one suspect forced her back into the home. At the same time, the second suspect kicked in the front door. The female victim was struck in the face with a handgun. The victim’s boyfriend walked in the front door and was immediately shot by the second suspect. The male victim sustained a gunshot wound to the chest by an unknown caliber long gun (rifle or shotgun).
The two suspects removed a television from the home and fled the scene. Both victims were treated by Columbia County Fire/Rescue. The male gunshot victim was transported to Shands Gainesville and is expected to recover from his injuries.
The suspects are described as follows:
1.Black male, 6’0 tall, stock build. Facial hair and dark skin. He was dressed in all black.
2.Black male, 5’7 – 5’10, stocky build. Bald head. He was dressed in all black with a bandanna over his face.
The suspect’s were seen leaving the area in a gold colored Ford Expedition.
