On Friday, July 2, 2010, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested a local man for possession illegal narcotics. At approximately 11:00 p.m., Deputies attempted to serve a felony arrest warrant on Joseph Anthony Harris at 141 NE Montrose Ave, Lake City, FL.
Deputies entered Harris’s home and found crack cocaine smoking devices, cannabis, various prescription pills and cocaine. Deputies believe that Harris attempted to destroy and/or conceal narcotics by flushing them down a kitchen sink. Deputies were able to recover cocaine from the kitchen sink drain.
Joseph Harris was previously arrested by the Columbia County Multi Jurisdictional Task Force on May 4, 2010 and was charged with possession of narcotics then. He is currently out on bond on those charges.

Mr. Harris was transported and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility without incident and is being held on $53,000.00 bond.
