Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Detectives have released the name of the suspect in the arson/homicide that occurred at 238 N.W. Bagel Court on Sunday, June 7, 2009.
Kenneth Allen Ford, 2/17/1966, is suspected of intentionally setting his home on fire. The fire took the life of his live-in girlfriend. The victims name is still being withheld pending positive identification from the Medical Examiners Office in Jacksonville, FL.
Detectives will present their evidence to a Columbia County Grand Jury when they next convene. Detectives and Prosecutors will be seeking an indictment for murder.
Mr. Ford is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Kenneth Ford is still being held in the Columbia County Detention Facility on Violation of Probation charges. Mr. Ford is being held without bond.
